Officers in India 1913


The shooting team from the 2nd Battalion, King’s Liverpool Regiment was represented by these four officers serving in India. They won the King George V Cup in 1913. They wear khaki lightweight tunics with matching shorts. The tunic is fastened with four small brass buttons, with similar buttons for the four pockets and the shoulder straps. The tunics open at the neck to show khaki shirts and ties.

Khaki puttees are wrapped around khaki socks and ankle boots. They hold .303 Lee Enfield rifles. In 1913 the 2nd Battalion were stationed at Dalhousie, Chamba District, Himachal Pradesh, and then Lower Gharial (for Peshawar) in 1914.
