Band, 9th Battalion c1913

Eighteen bandsmen and a bandmaster of the 9th Volunteer Battalion, King’s Liverpool Regiment, pose with their instruments in Ormskirk. In the front, sit three officers in undress scarlet serge frocks with blue facings. On the right sits a sergeant instructor with his sword. He and the band wear dress tunics but undress caps. The only man with a medal is the bandmaster, standing behind the time-beater’s bass drum.
