This picture shows the indefatigable Gertrude Bellwith Sir Percy Cox Ibn Saud in Mesopotamia in 1916. They would later become Feisal's two staunchest upholders in his uphill struggle to hold the quarrelsome new Mandate of Iraq together in the 1920s.
