Victoria Station, Bombay


This building was begun in 1877 and took a decade to complete. It was a magnificent terminus for one of the Empire's most important cities. It represents the capital investment Britain was prepared to make in India as the 'Jewel in the Crown' was the source of so much trade and wealth in its own right.
