A Hong Kong Policeman And Cricket

The Author, 1975

This photograph of the author in RHKP uniform was taken on 4th May 1975. This was when the first Vietnamese refugees were saved by a Danish container ship called the Clara Maersk and brought to Hong Kong. In total there were 3,500 aboard. 70 more arrived on my patch two days later in two fishing boats. All refugees were quickly resettled.
