Plymouth and Dartmoor Horse Drawn Railway

Opened in 1823, this railway linked the quarries and of Princetown and later of Cann to Crabtree and then ultimately to Sutton Harbour. It was operated by independent carriers who paid the Plymouth and Dartmoor Railway Company a toll for each journey made.
