Trumpet Major, Undress 1895

The Trumpet Major wears a blue patrol jacket that is similar to the pattern worn by officers except that it does not have a fur collar and cuffs. It also has five rows of black mohair lace across the chest instead of six. His right sleeve has four slim gold stripes with a silver regimental NCO badge superimposed. An embroidered crossed trumpets badge is above that. His pill-box cap is scarlet with gold lace and braid, and his blue dress breeches have gold stripes instead of the yellow cloth stripes worn by ranks below him.
