Hussars in The Peninsula

Hussars bivouacking in a church in the Peninsula 1813. The uniforms do not identify the regiment but the peakless shakos suggest that they are 10th Hussars. Other sources show that for the short period of Jan 1813 to March 1814 they wore black shakos without a peak, in the Peninsula. This watercolour by William Heath in in the National Army Museum.
