Baker Cavalry Carbine

This short weapon weighed just over 6 pounds and was easier to carry than the previous muskets but it was not a popular weapon. However, an improved version was produced in 1813 which the 10th Hussars used at Waterloo. The Baker carbine had a 20 inch barrel and an overall length of 35 inches. It was muzzle-loading and had a calibre of 16mm.
