Drumhorse, c1897

Simkin's print agrees with the photo (Drumhorse 1897) with the difference that the full dress here is for home service and the brass helmet with white plume is worn. The pale blue drum-banner was a reference to the pale blue facings of the uniform in the 18th century. The bridle with it's three reins and white throat plume is the same as the photo.
