8th Hussars


Full Dress Uniform c1913


This uniform belonged to William Peer who fought during the First World War. It is a dark blue tunic with edges traced round with yellow worsted braid. The same braid was used to form six rows across the chest at the level of the six brass ball buttons. The rows ended in caps and drops and were of diminishing length from top to bottom. see Detail The sleeves were decorated with an Austrian knot.
