Queen's Own Hussars

Field Officer's Forage Cap

The Queen's Own Hussars wore a scarlet forage cap. The officer's version was lower and not as stiff as the one worn by other ranks, the peak was also less sloping. The senior officers wore gold embroidery on the peak and all officers had the embroidered cap badge which differed markedly from the metal running horse badge of the other ranks.
