Royal Horse Guards

Officers' Helmet, 1905

A front and side view of the same helmet show the silver skull and gilt fittings with red horsehair plume. The garter badge is very different from the other rank's helmet, having red and blue enamelling and stipled silver star. The ball at the base of the spike is gilt, not silver as in the other rank's version.
