The Gordons


Private, Tropical Dress 1905


This private, photographed in India, is wearing the white doublet introduced in 1905 for summer review order in hot climates. In winter they wore scarlet serge frocks, and for undress they wore khaki. The good conduct stripes are of red cloth. The white foreign service helmet is the Wolseley style and has a silver badge on the front. He carries a cane for walking out.
