| The silver thistle badge on the gold embroidered collar was worn by officers and warrant officers. Ranks below this wore a star badge. The crown rank badges are silver with scarlet silk cushions. The lieutenants star badges can be seen in Detail of Back of Collar. There is no sign of the scarlet silk cord on the left shoulder as mentioned in Dress Regulations. Enlargement of the picture shows the detail on the gilt buttons. |
