Sergeant and Corporal, c1910


The scarlet tunics have grass green facings with the sphinx badge on the collar. The shoulder straps are also green with brass titles. The helmets are covered in blue cloth and have the other ranks' pattern rounded peak. The sergeant has gold lace stripes and a crimson sash on his right shoulder. The private has two white good conduct stripes on his left cuff and a gold marksman's badge of crossed rifles. His medals are the two South African War medals.
