11th Bengal Lancers (Probyn's Horse)

Indian Officers, 1863

The seated man has a 2nd China War medal and an Order of Merit for bravery. They both wear dark blue kurtas and red kummerbunds. It is a mystery why a young boy should be an officer in the regiment. He seems to be the same boy as the one on the left, seated on the ground, in the Officer Group 1860.
