Queen's Own Hussars

Bandsmen 1985

This view of the backs of the bandsmen in Hyde park on Cavalry Sunday in 1985 shows the pouch and belt worn by many of the band members. 'It was inherited from the 7th Hussars band and is a plain white leather belt without pickers and chains. The pouch is of black leather edged in a double row of gold Russia braid and QOH badge in the middle. The yellow braid on the back of the tunic ends in a trefoil at the top, and an Austrian knot at the hem of the tunic, with netted buttons on the waist. The busby bag colour is garter blue and the plume is white. They all wear spurs.
