Queen's Own Hussars

Drumhorse, Undress 1990

This photo was taken at the rehearsal for a parade at Horse Guards in London. The occasion was the Queen Mother's 90th birthday. The corporal drummer is in khaki no.2 dress but wearing jodhpurs and knee boots with his tunic. His collar badges have red backing cloth and his NCO's arm badge which is only just visible on his right sleeve, is on blue cloth. The silver drums are resting on red pads to protect the horse, and details of the drums can be seen here.
