Drumhorse Full Dress c1898

The horse in this photo is not a Bay but has palamino colouring. The shabraque ornamentation is clearly shown here; the badge of the Bays with a Guelphic crown at the top. The small shape below the wreath is a scroll inscribed LUCKNOW. The buff banner has the simple device of BAYS with a more foliated wreath, the Victorian crown above, and LUCKNOW beneath. The bridle has a plain white brow-band and gilt chained headpiece, and there are stirrup reins. The drummer is in scarlet dress tunic with white collar cuffs and shoulder strap, and white leather pouchbelt.
