| Lieutenant Crompton served in the Boer War in 1902 and took part in the operations in Cape Colony Jan to May 1902. He is listed in Harts List of 1907 in the Queen's Bays as a 2nd Lieut on 29 July 1903 which means that he was in another unit during the Boer War and transferred to the Bays. He reached Lieutenant on 22 Oct 1904. The photo is c1903. |
