Officers in 1914


The group posing here are all named and many of them are to be found in the list of soldiers, commanding officers and, in the case of 2nd Lieut Kingstone and Major Harman, in the list of Colonels of the regiment. The first officer of the regiment to be killed was Lieut C N Champion de Crespigny. Major Ing was the first British officer to capture German Guns in WW1.
