| Major Jennings-Bramly was killed in the Tirah Campaign on the 18th Oct 1897. The Gordons were providing cover for the troops withdrawing after the first successful capture of the Heights of Dargai on that day. Several men of the Gordons were wounded but he was the only fatality. |
