Ensign, Dress Uniform 1994

This photo from Regiment Magazine 1994 shows the shoulder strap as being of dark blue cloth with a double row of gold purl embroidery around the edge. All ranks of officer have the same. The rank stars are elaborately embroidered garter stars of mostly silver wire but incorporating red, blue and gold embroidery. The collar looks as if it is all gold embroidery but the filled-in area ends at the button of the shoulder strap to reveal the blue cloth. The height of the officer's bearskin is apparent here, being taller than those worn by other ranks. The crimson waist-sash is worn on this parade as it is not a State occasion.
