Officers' Pagri Badges

The white tropical helmet was worn by all ranks in review order in hot climates instead of the bearskin. The guards were not posted abroad for garrison duty like other regiments so avoided service in India. This badge was worn on the pagri of the white dress helmet and the khaki service dress helmet. The left hand badge is Victorian and the right hand badge is George V, both in gilt with blue and red enamelling.
