The King's Royal Rifle Corps

Sergeant G Simpson

Sergeant Simpson was the Master Tailor at the Rifle Depot in the 1890s and early 20th century. He has an unusually fine array of medals for an NCO of that period. They include medals for Egypt and Sudan, the Queen's and King's South Africa medal and the Meritorious Service Medal. Being a senior NCO he has an officer style jacket worn with a pill-box forage cap.
