Officer's Helmet Badge 1881-1901

The home service blue helmet had this universal pattern star badge with Queen's crown and the silver Paschal Lamb in the centre on a red velvet ground. Other examples of this badge have the regimental title beneath: THE ROYAL WEST SURREY REGIMENT without THE QUEEN'S above. The upper scroll must be a later addition as it is used in the later versions of the badge with the Edwardian crown.
