| Major Potter was in command of B Company Royal Scots during Operation Granby in the Gulf War of 1991. He was gazetted on 29th June 1991 as a recipient of the Military Cross. This picture was published in the Daily Express in November 1991 after he received the medal at Buckingham Palace. He has three other medal ribbons, the middle one is the purple and green for the Campaign Service Medal. The one on the right with a yellow centre and blue, red and pale blue stripes is for the Gulf War of 1991. |
