This appears to be a good likeness of Colonel Probyn. The turban is very dark blue with lighter blue stripes and gold wrapped around a kullah which is of scarlet padded wool embroidered with gold. The pouchbelt is gold with a central scarlet stripe. The chain and pickers are gilt. His medals are, from the right the Indian Mutiny with 3 clasps for Lucknow, the Defence of Lucknow, and Delhi. Then two medals, the upper one being his VC won at Agra in 1857 and the lower The Most Honorable Order of the Bath. On the left is his Second China War medal with clasps for Taku Forts and Pekin.
