Full Dress Sabretache, 1866




The sabretache from the portrait of Probyn was discontinued some time in the 1870s. It is of crimson velvet embroidered with a crown over '11', a cypher in the middle and battle honour scrolls for Lucknow, Pekin and Taku Forts on the lower part. The whole surrounded by one and a half inch wide gold lace.
