Back of Officer’s Jacket c1826

The notebooks of P W Reynolds has this page which shows one of his drawings of the back of an officer’s dress jacket. It is not dated but the buttons have KCY with a crown, garter and star. The regimental title was King’s Cheshire Yeomanry from 1826 to 1849 so the jacket could date much later than 1826. However the front of the collar on the 1824 jacket and the side of the collar of the 1835 jacket do not bear any resemblance to the braiding shown here, so it suggests a missing link between the two styles. Unfortunately there is no image of the front of the jacket which is blue with red facings and silver braid. Reynolds does tell us that the front of the collar is entirely covered by silver lace, similar to the 1835 collar.
