Trooper Ellis Blyth


William Ellis Blyth was the son of E K Blyth of 6 Rosslyn Hill, Hampstead. He had 5 years experience in the USA and had worked in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. He had been a sergeant in a Volunteer regiment. He was one of the 34th Company that was captured at Senekal on 25 May 1900, but he was released on 28 Aug 1900. He rejoined the Company on 25 Sep 1900 at Bethlehem. He became ill and had to be left at Winburg on 24 Dec 1900 and died on 17 Jan 1901.
