Middlesex Duke of Cambridge’s Hussars, Yeomanry Cavalry

Edwardian Cap Badge, 1901 - 08

The eight pointed star badge was worn as a cap badge by other ranks at this time without the crown. This example is blackened brass, to be worn with khaki service dress. The cypher of King Edward VII dates it in the first decade of the 20th century, and the title MIDDLESEX IMPERIAL YEOMANRY dates it between 1901 and 1908. This pattern of badge without a crown was also worn as a collar badge by all ranks, either in gilt or brass.
