Notes | In the above picture you can see that the wings of the plane have been folded back. The 0/400 replaced the 0/100 as the standard heavy bomber of the war. Improvements included the fact that the fuel tanks were now located inside the fuselage and more powerful engines were added. Over 650 of these planes were built. They predominantly saw service as day bombers over France and then night bombers over Germany. |
