Notes | The Camel was not an easy plane to master, but once the pilot had learnt the intricacies of this plane it could and did make itself more than a match for the German planes. One of its biggest advantages was that it had an excellent turning circle. Some 2,500 Camels were employed by the Air Force by the end of the war. |
