Empires in Asia Map, 1920


This map shows the development of the Empires throughout the 19th Century through to the end of World War One. The biggest casualties during World War One were the Ottoman Turkish Empires in the Middle East and German Treaty ports in China and Pacific holdings. The British and Japanese took most of the German colonies whilst the British and French took most of the Ottoman ones.
