Falkland Islands Company

The Falkland Islands Company was an incredibly important employer since it received its Royal Charter back in 1852. They had experimented in exploiting all sorts of resources before they found that sheep provided a reasonably stable income with sales of mutton and wool. Despite its isolation and lack of domestic industries for most of its history, the Falkland Islands have been a net exporter of goods.
