Falkland Islands' Cemetery, 1914

This picture shows the population of Stanley, and probably further afield, coming to pay respects to those who died in the Battle of the Falklands in 1914. Once again, you can see plennty of ships out in the Sound. It is also interesting to make out the 'Sunday Best' clothes of those attending the service. The fashions of the best clothes are identical to those in Britain at this time. This scene would not look out of place anywhere in the British Isles at this time.
