Governor's Flag, 1948 - 1999

A major reworking of the Coat of Arms introduced the sheep as the dominant form. The Desire still makes its appearance but has returned to its full form. It is needed to make sense of the motto; Desire the Right. This was the flag at the time of the Argentine invasion and was replaced by the Argentine Flag during their period of occupation. It was replaced once the British retook the islands.
