Ireland Map from 1558 to 1652

This map shows the repeated attempts at settlement from the Elizabethan era up until the Cromwellian settlement. Of course, many of the transfers were to effect the aristocracies and many of the poor or labourers just stayed in place as their landowners successively changed or were evicted from their possessions.
