Trooper's Equipment

Rear view of a hussar trooper's jacket and equipment. This shows how the pouchbelt supports the pouch, on a thinner strap attached to the inside of the pouchbelt. At the lowest point of the pouchbelt is a spring hook from which the carbine is suspended. The haversack and waterbottle go over the right shoulder. The cords are caplines, normally shorter than this, designed to keep the fur busby from falling to the ground.
