Group Photos

These two photos are from the Navy and Army Illustrated. The top row are all other ranks, veterens of Egypt and the Sudan. The names between the picture apply to them. They are all sepoys except the young, unbearded trumpeter on the right. He has wings on his shoulders and wider white lace either side of the green central facings of his tunic. All the men have a steel quoit on their turbans, a circular object used as a weapon by the Sikhs. The lower picture has officers at either end of the line with crimson sashes on the left shoulder. There are four havildars wearing their sashes on the right shoulder.
