Charles Edward Duff CB



Charles Duff entered the 8th Hussars in May 1878 and sailed for India in December. He was employed in the Second Aghan War at Dakka Fort, in command of a 20-man detachment on the Lines of Communication. Later he took part in the regiment's march from Junrood to Bassawal. He was second in command of the regiment during the South African War.
