Field Marshal James O'Hara, 2nd Lord Tyrawley (Lord Kilmaine)


James O'Hara was born in Ireland in 1682, the son of Charles, 1st Baron Tyrawley. He was commissioned into the Royal Fusiliers in 1703 and fought at Barcelona in 1706, wounded at Almansa in 1707 and again at Malplaquet in 1709. He was an inveterate womaniser and fathered 14 illegitimate children. His appointments as Colonel of various regiments is almost as long as his list of mistresses. His dates and appointments were:
