The Warwickshire Regiment

1st Battalion Regimental Colour c1902

The date of this Colour must be c1902 because the last battle honour is SOUTH AFRICA 1899-1902 but the crown is still Queen Victoria's. The central device of the antelope and the regimental title are obscure and may have been removed for some reason. The rest of the embroidery is intact showing the 16 battle honours (pre-World War 1) and the slipped roses and crowns in the corners. There is nothing to indicate the 1st Battalion.
