Floradora was a musical comedy which opened in London on 11 November 1899 at the Lyric Theatre. The show starred Evie Greene, Willie Edouin and Ada Reeve. Its original run of 455 performances was unusually long for the time, and it closed in March 1901. It then had a successful run in Broadway, being one of the first West End musicals to do well on Broadway.
