The Primrose League

Primrose League Habitation Notes

These 'Habitation Notes' give a good example of the kind of social activities promoted by the Primrose League. These are taken from September 13th 1890. The term 'Habitation' refers to their branch names. The association's association was loosely based on the Orange Order organisation in Ireland but rather than taking the term 'Lodge' they decided to use the word 'Habitation' for their organisational units and one could be established if 13 paid members got together to form one.
