Lucknow Residency

This was a photo taken by Felice A Beato, an Italian–British photographer who was commissioned by the War Office back in London to make documentary photographs showing the damages to the buildings in Lucknow following the two sieges. He took his pictures in 1858 although the extent of the damage can still clearly be seen.
