Powis House


Powis House was built in 1746/7 by the son of the great progenitor and founder of the Mayne dynasty William Mayne, the owner of the Powis and Logie estates, who by his three wives had 22 children. The house lies about four miles north-east of Stirling on the A91 Tillicountry road. The interior of the house can be seen at http://www.powishouse.co.uk
