This particular picture is of a 1904 stern wheeler named the Scarborough which operated on the 400 miles of navigable river throughout Nigeria. Sadly I have yet to locate an image of the Kampala but this image at least shows the kind of design. The Scarborough had a gross tonnage of 370; a length of 200 feet and a beam of 32 feet. Her depth was 7 ft. 9 in and her engines developed 400 horse-power.
